Writeshop : Safe Food Fair Food coordinators engaged a reflection in Grand Bassam

Hosted by the Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques en Côte d’Ivoire (CSRS), a 10 member strong team from East, West and Southern Africa came to Grand Bassam near Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire for a “writeshop” from November 5-9. The main objective of the writeshop was to review and finalize a series of publications that are almost finished (but not yet!). Over 5 days the team reviewed the Safe Food Fair Food book, and try to come up with a more catchy title. Additionally, the team prepared an outline for an additional chapter to the book on the gender aspect of food safety. The training manual on Participatory Risk Assessment was revised in detail by the participants and some new modules had to be developed. Finally, the project brief was reviewed and participants got an explanation from Kristina about the website. On this specific point, all participants were invited to bring regularly their contribution to the SFFF blog! Apart from all the hard work Professor Bonfoh and his team has a nice leisure time at beach and equally visited the local market where everyone could buy some nice Ivorian fabrics.
