Meeting between CSRS research staff and members of the Board of Directors

On Tuesday 16 June 2026, researchers and staff at the CSRS took part in the traditional meeting with Prof. Jürg Utzinger and several members of the Board of Directors, ahead of the second Board meeting of 2026.

In addition to Prof. Utzinger, Prof. Inza Koné (Director-General of the CSRS), Prof. Christine Ouinsavi (representative of the research institutions in the sub-region), Jérémie Zoueu (incoming Director-General of the CSRS), Jürg Fischer (Secretary General of the Swiss Academy of Natural Sciences – SCNAT), Mr Daniel NURSE of Swiss TPH, a guest of Prof. Utzinger, and Ms Khady Sall (Chief Financial Officer, CSRS), whose presence lent a special touch to the meeting.

In a friendly atmosphere, this gathering provided an ideal setting for dialogue, the sharing of information, sound advice and the strengthening of ties between the governing bodies and all the teams.

It was an opportunity for representatives of the researchers’ and staff associations, as well as the staff representative, to express their appreciation and gratitude to Prof. Inza KONE for the inspiring leadership he has demonstrated throughout his eight years at the helm of the institution. As for Professor Jérémie Zoueu, they wished him every success in his new role whilst assuring him of their full cooperation in guiding the institution towards new horizons.

A valuable moment that demonstrates the importance placed on internal communication and institutional cohesion.
