As part of the Novartis STEP (Sickle cell Testing and Early care Program) project, Ms Moniek Bresser - Senior Data Manager in the Swiss TPH's CSDM (Clinical Statistics and Data Management) group and Dr Fiona Vanobberghen - Statistician and Co-Lead of the Swiss TPH's CSDM (Clinical Statistics and Data Management) group, paid a working visit to the CSRS. The delegation was received by Professor Koudou, DRD and PI of the project, Miss Yao Laurence, Data Manager and Dr Allassane Ouattara, Statistician. 


The aim of the visit was to get to know the STEP (Sickle cell Testing and Early care Program) study site, work with the project team, identify CSRS needs in terms of data management with a view to capacity building, and lay the foundations for future collaboration with CSRS researchers.

 

The visit took place from June 23 to 27, 2025, at the CSRS, the Yopougon Millionnaire Extension Health Center and IRMA (Institut de Recherche en Mathématiques) sites. It enabled guests to familiarize themselves with the study site, the research activities of CSRS and other partners, with the aim of identifying potential avenues for collaboration and contributing to the capacity-building of researchers.
