As underlined by the organizers during the award ceremony, this award recognizes the exemplary commitment and remarkable efforts made by the CSRS to protect personal data.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Centre Suisse, Dr. Dao DAOUDA - Director of Valorisation et Expertises (DVE) and DGA - in his speech, while expressing his gratitude on behalf of the institution, also emphasized the importance of this commitment:

"This recognition for respecting personal information in our research is particularly significant. In a world where Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming our approach to data, it is crucial to maintain constant vigilance with regard to privacy protection. At CSRS, we are committed to conducting research of excellence, while scrupulously respecting ethical principles and data confidentiality."

In CΓ΄te d'Ivoire, the protection of personal data is governed by law no. 2013-450 of June 19, 2013. Raising awareness among the population, in general, and interested parties, in particular, in both urban and rural areas, remains a priority to spread good practices.

Challenges specific to CΓ΄te d'Ivoire, such as the protection of personal data in all sectors of activity (public and private) and the fight against cybercrime, require tailored responses, taking into account rapid advances in technology.
