The Documentation and Archives Unit (CDA) of the Swiss Scientific Research Center in Côte d'Ivoire (CSRS), headed by Mr. Djibril Dosso, Documentary Information Manager, organizes an annual workshop aimed at strengthening the capacities of researchers. This year, the workshop was held on August 13 and 14, 2025, in the Norbert Béhi room, offering participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the tools and methods needed to optimize the quality and impact of their research activities.

This workshop, entitled “Mastering digital tools and techniques for accessing, managing, and promoting scientific information,” was opened by the Deputy Director General of the CSRS, Dr. Daouda DAO, Director of Resources and Promotion (DRV), who congratulated the trainer, Mr. Djibril Dosso, and encouraged the participants. "The entire process offered to you is extremely important.  I therefore encourage you to be diligent and follow all the modules so that, at the end of this training, you will feel that you have gained undeniable added value. I would like to congratulate Mr. Dosso, who does so much to help researchers master their professions and advance their careers. And you will understand the importance of this even more when you are ready to register with CAMES.

The program for this training course, which is aimed at researchers, doctoral students, students, and CSRS employees, mainly new recruits, includes the following modules: Effective management of bibliographic references and documentary research with Zotero and Mendeley, Access to global online research via the Research4Life (R4L) partnership, Data collection with KoboCollect, Techniques for searching non-blacklisted scientific journals.

This training was well received. "We would like to thank the CSRS and trainer Mr. Dosso Djibril for this free training opportunity. We learned a lot during these two days. These four modules opened our minds and will enable us to apply what we learned when writing our dissertations. We would like to see more training on how to use certain software programs, especially those related to research," said the participants.

An evaluation and certificate award ceremony were the final stages of this training course.
