The African Primatological Society (APS) will hold its third Congress in Potchefstroom, South Africa from September 25th - 28th, 2024. We are very proud and excited to announce this 2024 congress of APS for the advancement of African primate research and conservation.

Notes to participants

Meeting venue
The meeting will be held in Potchefstroom, North West, South Africa.

Evening meals
Participants may have dinner at their cost in their respective Hotels. However, you are advised to check with organization members in case you want to leave the hotel.

Coffee / Tea breaks and Lunches
Coffee and tea will be served during the morning and afternoon breaks at the meeting venue.

Each participant must take the breakfast in his/her hotel.

Lunch will be served at the congress venue.

Currency
The currency used in South Africa is South African rand (ZAR) (1 $ US = ZAR 19.04).

You may get some cash in the local currency from an ATM machine at the airport (visa cards and Mastercards are accepted).

You may also change money at the airport if you bring some cash in foreign currencies. Just tell the driver or the hostesses who will welcome you at the airport.

Yellow fever vaccination
International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required upon arrival from all countries at the Airport in South Africa.

The average temperature is 23-29° degrees centigrade.

While most of the visits to South Africa are trouble free, you are advised to exercise a high level of vigilance in public areas.
