Friday, May 10, 2024 - The 2nd Media pour la Science et le Développement (MSD) award ceremony of the Côte d'Ivoire Association of Science Journalists was held at the Maison de la Presse on the Plateau. The CSRS was rewarded for its outstanding work in communicating and popularizing scientific information in Côte d'Ivoire.

The award was received by Ms Koné Ange - Head of Communications and CSR at the Centre Suisse - In her speech, she stressed the importance of communication in the field of scientific research, in order to respond to the essential problem of funding scientific research on the one hand, and on the other, to inform public authorities of our mission: to generate credible evidence through science, and to serve as a platform for partnerships for capacity building and the translation of research results into development action throughout Côte d'Ivoire and the sub-region. The aim is to establish a dialogue between policy-makers and ourselves.

She thanked the Director of the Swiss Center, Prof. Inza Koné, for putting communication at the heart of scientific research, and the researchers for their efforts to make their results accessible to as many people as possible.
