Since Monday June 03, 2024, the CSRS has been welcoming a delegation from the Innovative Vector Control Consortium (IVCC), made up of Dr Graham Small (Senior Technical Manager) and Ms Laura Roberts (Communication Manager) from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. The delegation was welcomed by Prof Koudou Benjamin, a specialist in clinical research and vector control, and Director of Research and Development at CSRS. Indeed, in order to capitalize on the solid collaboration between CSRS and IVCC in the field of malaria vector control, and to announce a new project funded by USAID (United States Agency for International Development) which aims to test new mosquito nets and intra-domestic treatment products, this important consortium initiated this trip to Abidjan.

On the first day of the workshop, the delegation visited the insectarium and the laboratory before gathering in the auditorium for presentations by the GLP team and on research results.  The IVCC team briefed the audience on IVCC's safeguarding standards, before going on to talk about the Equity, Diversity and Gender policy and concluding the workshop on the importance of communication for an organization and target identification.

CSRS, through its Tiassalé research station, is one of 7 key sites worldwide in the fight against insecticide resistance in mosquitoes. The next day, the delegation headed for the Tiassalé station.
